Fun in the Rain

The other day it was raining and I was driving the BoE's car over the mountain pass between schools in the rain. On the way over to the school I felt I couldn't trust the car because it seemed like the tires might slip on the wet road and was questionable, so I was being very cautious. On the way over to the school nothing serious happened. While in class at the school they were burning garbage and they successfully lit a tree on fire and it was going up in flames fast right next to the school directly outside of the classroom on the 2nd floor I was in. The flames were shooting at least 3 stories high. They eventually put out the fire safely and all was well, until the tree caught on fire a second time. They put it out again though. Poor tree. Next time you would think they might learn not to burn a big pile of garbage directly under/next to a tree. Then, on the way back to the office to return the BoE car, while I was driving no more than 30km - 40km on a 30km speed limit mountain road in the rain, the car suddenly lost its traction and went into an all out spin. I did about a 270 degree spin in the car, and part way through the gas pedal would not react I could get no acceleration, all I had was the steering wheel and brake at my control. Luckily there were no cars coming in either direction and after the spin for some reason the cars engine had stalled completely. I had to restart the engine, get the car turned around and off I went on my way back to the office as if nothing had happened, but it shook me up a bit. I knew the tires on that car felt like they need to be changed but I know the BoE won't get them changed even if I say something. They will just make an excuse of why they have no money so they can't.A similar thing happened in my own car a few years ago after I had just bought it, so I got all 4 tires changed on it right away after that and it has been in good running condition ever since that.Be careful on rainy mountain pass roads made with slippery coral in the concrete when made and worn down tires with no traction on them is the best advice I can give.

Trouble with Blogger

Well, from most of my computers at work with Internet in Kunigami, they almost all seem to have trouble accessing Blogger, so, I really haven't used this venue for my blogging much at all. I primarily use my Live Journal for most of my blogging. Perhaps I will use this blog more in the future, but for now...I don't think I will be updating it much.
