Current Events in my life update

Last night I put a video tape into my VCR/TV and the tape deck jammed or something, so it is in limbo between in and out or something although touching the tape, it is completely down and in, but the thing says otherwise, and this status has caused my TV to not stay turned on. It will automatically shutoff so I can no longer watch anything on the TV until I can get this thing fixed.

Still, job hunting. Well, not really seriously started yet, because I am still focused on cleaning apartment, and moving out, and finishing up my last week of work in my current contracting organization, and dealing with farewell parties and paperwork for unemployment for after that and what not.

Also, been going to all the islands festivals here and there, watching fireworks, wearing traditional Japanese clothing and having a good time.

Computer Repaired

My computer has been fixed and has returned to me!!! yay! I am so happy to have my computer back again! I missed my computer while it was gone.

Last day of school in Okinawa

Today was the last day of school in Okinawa for me on the JET Programme. After five years it is over. I am drenched in sweat from playing basketball with the 6th graders at one of my schools this afternoon while I am writing this. We just ate some popsicles which after the basketball in the gym tasted abosultely wonderful. I had two farewell ceremonies at two different schools this morning first and second period. At one they gave me a present of Shisa and a traffic safety sticker with Shisa and an Ishigatou on it. The other gave me some flowers. Most of the classes all wrote farewell letters to me as well. Hard to believe that it is all over. Five years flew by so fast full of wonderful memories along with the bad, but overall the good outweigh the bad. This has been one of the best experiences of my lifetime and I will never forget it. Ippei nihei debitan!!!

Surviving the Typhoon

I'm surviving Typhoon #4 otherwise known as Manyi. More to come on this later, as I had to evacuate my apartment with no electricity and cell phone signal knocked out to a location that has power and cell phone signal.

Computer Repairs

My computer needs some repairs done, so I will most likely be unable to get online for a while until my computer comes back repaired. Until then, see you.
